My Take on Scamanda:
There is something so enraging about cancer fakers. Maybe it’s because the c-word is so scary by itself and most people know someone who has been affected by it. Yes, I know there are seemingly endless cases like what Scamanda is about, but why do I recommend it so highly? Well, because she didn’t just stop at cancer sympathy.
The show follows how Amanda Riley cooks up her cancer diagnosis and pulls the wool over everyone’s eyes for nearly a decade. If you know nothing about the case, do yourself a favor and don’t google anything. It’s much better to let it all surprise you as the documentary slowly unveils how she pulled it off and also how she gets taken down. Admittedly, I had already listened to the podcast it was based on and I was still hooked. The depravity of this women (and her husband who HAD to know something) is beyond belief.
You’ll be entertained. You’ll also be angry as hell.
Verdict:
Highly recommended. Watch it here!
