Like a human cannonball to my nostalgia bone.
Quick synopsis:
The story of the American Gladiators TV show.

My Take on Muscles & Mayhem:
Please allow me to get personal for a moment. As a kid, I hated sleep. Yes, most kids do, but unlike most I would just NOT sleep. My dad was a night owl as well which meant we would often stay up Saturday nights and watch American Gladiators at midnight. It is a core memory for me. With that said, you may be wondering if I can be impartial in reviewing the documentary of American Gladiators. Nope, I am absolutely biased, but the thing is good! I promise!
The documentary covers a lot of ground. It talks about how the idea came along, how stormy getting it made was, and has a ton of interviews with actual American Gladiators. There are a lot of wild stories, and they all get covered here including the inevitable crash and burn of the program. Yes, of course it was over money.
Will you enjoy this if you never saw the show? Probably. Will you if you remember it? Hell yeah.
Verdict:
If you are of a certain age, you must watch. Watch it here!
