My Take on Big Vape:
I love documentaries which give me a lot of information I didn’t know, but also challenge me to think about the subject. Life is full of gray areas and almost nothing is black and white. As far as documentaries go, Big Vape might be the pinnacle of the gray area documentary. I was disgusted by some of the choices made by Juul. I was at other times sympathetic to how they were portrayed. If you have a strong feeling either way, this documentary will challenge your assumptions. You may think the same way in the end, but you will be better informed.
The documentary looks at the entire life of the JUUL e-cigarette. Its origins were mostly positive. The intent was to save people from cigarettes. The idea took off. Then, choices were made. Very bad choices. Then people started to pile on. A company created to destroy big tobacco began to look exactly like big tobacco. Juul was killing people… or was it? You need to watch it to find out and I highly recommend you do.
Verdict:
A must watch. Watch it here!
