Museum Review: Manassas Museum

Museum Focus:

The museum for Manassas, Virginia.

Where is it:

9101 Prince William St, Manassas, VA 20110. I used to live here! No, not at the museum. In the city.

What does it cost:

Free!

How long should I plan to stay:

Not a very long time. This is a small museum which is only the size of a few rooms. They still have great stuff, but not much of it. 30-45 minutes should do.

Best Exhibits:

As you may expect, the Civil War features predominantly. Unlike a lot of other places, the museum does not try and gloss over the slavery issue and goes a long way to show the life of African-Americans post-Civil War.

For the kids, they get to do a scavenger hunt! My daughter got them all. No, I didn’t help, what are you insinuating?

The gift shop is small but has some great stuff. A lot of their books are signed by the authors.

Is it worth it:

You know it. Go Manassas!
